Working the Workshop is for those of us teaching students new to writing. Whether you are new to teaching creative writing or a veteran of decades, it's a place to share inspiration. Each week, we bring fresh ideas. We post writing exercises we have used in the classroom to get students putting down their ideas. We select reading by established writers; what we call Reading the Masters. Each reading targets a craft element of writing. We review books on craft and their usefulness in the classroom.
